Competitors bringing air rifles into Canada should note that high-powered air rifles are considered firearms under Canadian law. Non-residents must complete an RCMP Non-Resident Firearms Declaration (Form 5589), leave it unsigned until inspected by a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer at the port of entry, and pay the applicable $25 declaration fee. Once signed by the CBSA officer, the declaration serves as a temporary firearms licence valid for up to 60 days. Competitors with questions regarding the classification of their air rifle should contact the Canadian Firearms Program before travelling to Canada.

Canadian Residents
Canadian residents must comply with all applicable federal, provincial, and local firearms laws when transporting air rifles to and from the World Field Target Championship.
